Applications for New Executive Director

 

Salary Range:__$70,000 -_$85,000 Annually_________________

 

The Board of Directors of the Child Care Coordinating Council (4C) of Detroit/Wayne County is accepting applications for the position of Executive Director.

 

Headquartered in Detroit and servicing all of Wayne County, 4C is a multi-million dollar non-profit organization whose mission is to educate, support and empower families, communities, and service programs to provide quality care and environments for all children and to promote within strong family units the development of children to their full potential and well-being. 4C strives to achieve its mission through partnerships and with the support of all sectors of the community

 

4C employs 70 individuals and provides its diverse range of services through 8 different facilities. Its Board of Directors is made up of 25 members representing major sectors of the community including education, business, religious, and government.

 

The Board of Directors is seeking a dynamic and energetic individual who can lead the organization into the future while effectively managing the day-to-day operations of the organization. The Executive Director plays a pivotal role in advocating on behalf of young children and the child care community. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in executive leadership with demonstrated skills in organizational leadership, service delivery and evaluation, fund development and financial management, and governmental relations.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

A Masters degree is required and/or equivalent experience in education, child development and human services.

A minimum of seven years progressive administrative/managerial experience, including financial responsibility, non profit management, program development and implementation.

Demonstrated ability to lead strategic planning and implementation efforts.

Demonstrated knowledge of fund development through experience in fundraising and developing revenue generating opportunities.
